White
Fort Wayne, Indiana , United States
White, another rookie, joined the Current after four standout years at Penn State from 2022-25. Starting 53 of her 88 collegiate games, White totaled 11 goals, 14 assists, 36 points and four game-winning goals in nearly 4,500 career minutes. Her prolific senior campaign in 2025 earned her a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Fourth Team and the All-Big Ten Second Team.
So far in her debut season, White has made seven appearances and scored her first professional goal in the Current’s Teal Rising Cup triumph. White has represented the U.S. at the U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-20 levels.
Gianna
Paul
Huntington Station, New York , United States
Gianna Paul joined the Current in December 2025 from the collegiate ranks. She had a remarkable four-year career at Alabama from 2022-25 where she graduated as the program record holder with 40 goals, 94 points, 279 shots and 115 shots on target. She started 69 of her 90 career games and logged over 6,000 minutes.
Paul has made three appearances for the Current thus far in 2026. She was also called up to United States Youth National Team training camps in 2023 at the Under-18/U-19 level in preparation for the 2023 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship.
Haley
Hopkins
Newport Beach, California , United States
Haley Hopkins joined the Current in January 2025 via trade and has displayed a goalscoring ability throughout her time in Kansas City. The back-to-back Teal Rising Cup Most Valuable Player notched one goal and three assists in NWSL regular season play during her debut season for the club in 2025. In 2026, she recorded just the second hat trick in club history across all competitions during the Current’s 2026 Teal Rising Cup triumph.
Prior to joining the professional ranks, Hopkins had a decorated college career at both Vanderbilt and Virginia. Overall, Hopkins appeared in 104 collegiate games and made 100 starts, scoring 56 goals and adding 26 assists. She also currently serves as president of the NWSL Players Association.

Long
Mission Hills, Kansas , United States
Mary Long, the second Kansas native on the Current’s roster, joined the club in January 2025. She shone in her first professional season, earning 10 regular season appearances and recording her first NWSL assist on Sept. 26 in a Current victory at Chicago. She also helped the club capture the 2025 Teal Rising Cup with the game-winning goal against Brazil’s Corinthians SC.
Long is a staple in the U.S. Youth National Team system. She helped the U.S. U-20 National Team qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after its top four finish at the 2025 Concacaf U-20 Championship. She also featured extensively for the U-17 National Team, helping the U.S. win bronze at the 2024 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Penelope
Hocking
Anaheim, California , United States
One of the newest members of the Current, Penelope Hocking joined the team in March 2026 via a trade. Hocking, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 NWSL Draft, began her NWSL career after starring at USC from 2018-21 where she was a two-time All-American, MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, 2021 Pac-12 Forward of the Year and 2018 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. She used her graduate year at Penn State in 2022.
Internationally, Hocking played for the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team at the 2018 FIFA U-20 World Cup and subbed in during two group stage matches against Paraguay and Spain. Hocking was also tabbed to the U.S. U-23 roster for a training camp in January 2022.

Croix Bethune is a mesmerizing offensive talent leading the next wave of American soccer stars.
After a decorated collegiate and youth international career, Bethune burst onto the scene in 2024. San José, Costa Rica , Costa Rica
Rocky Rodríguez is one of the stars of the Costa Rican National Team, with over 110 caps and 61 goals since her national team debut in 2012. A two-time Concacaf Female Player of the Year nominee (2014, 2015), Rodríguez played every minute for her country in the 2015 and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, even scoring Costa Rica’s first-ever World Cup goal in 2015.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NWSL Draft won NWSL Rookie of the Year that season. She joined the Current in 2024 via trade with Angel City FC. At the time of her re-signing, the veteran midfielder had totaled 196 matches, 145 starts, 17 goals and eight assists in 12,668 minutes across all competitions in her career.
Vanessa
Dibernardo
Naperville, Illinois , United States
Vanessa DiBernardo is a franchise cornerstone and one of the club’s longest-tenured players, joining the Current in December 2022. The veteran midfielder has amassed 241 appearances, 221 starts, 19,027 minutes, 12 goals and 37 assists across all competitions in her decorated NWSL career.
She quickly established her name in Kansas City and made history by scoring the first-ever goal at CPKC Stadium on March 16, 2024. DiBernardo was named to the NWSL Second XI and nominated for NWSL Midfielder of the Year in 2024. In 2025, she became the 12th player in NWSL history to reach 15,000 regular season minutes, the fifth player (and second youngest) to hit 200 regular season appearances and the first to take 400 regular season corner kicks while helping the Current win the NWSL Shield.
She has also represented the United States Youth National Team at the U-20 and U-23 levels.

Feist
Cincinnati, Ohio , United States
Bayley Feist, the No. 17 overall pick in the 2019 NWSL Draft, joined the Current in January 2024 and has provided crucial midfield depth and steady play throughout her tenure. She appeared in nine regular season matches for the Current in 2025 with five starts, also dishing out two assists as the club won the 2025 Teal Rising Cup.
Thus far in 2026, Feist has made five regular season starts and eight total appearances, including featuring in both matches of the Current’s 2026 Teal Rising Cup victory.
The highest NWSL draft pick in school history, Feist had a standout collegiate career at Wake Forest from 2015-18 where she started 61 of 78 matches. She amassed 22 goals and 10 assists while logging 5,670 minutes.

With a golden left foot and knack for kickstarting counterattacks, Izzy Rodriguez shines as an outside back for the Current as an integral part of the club’s defensive core.
Rodriguez had to wait her turn before eventually earning a hold on the Current’s left back spot in 2023. She hasn’t looked back since.
After being named to the NWSL Best XI First Team in 2024, Rodriguez started every game for the Current’s Shield winning team in 2025, becoming the first player in franchise history to do so. Rouse
Cary, North Carolina , United States
Rouse is part of a standout Current rookie class, joining the club in December 2025 after a six-year college career at Virginia. While at UVA, she started 86 of her 97 matches and logged over 6,600 minutes, contributing to 55 shutouts and helping the team make deep NCAA Tournament runs in five of her six collegiate seasons.
So far this season, Rouse has neared 500 minutes played in the NWSL regular season and has made impactful contributions at outside back. She started both matches and played all 180 minutes as the Current lifted the 2026 Teal Rising Cup.
Internationally, Rouse has been part of the United States Youth National Team at the U-14, U-16, U-19 and U-20 levels. She helped the U.S. win the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship and played at the 2022 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Meila
Brewer
Overland Park, Kansas , United States
One of two local products on the Current’s roster, Meila Brewer is no stranger to the KC Current organization. The Overland Park, Kan. native previously spent time training with the Current and Current II before signing with the first team in December 2025 at just 16 years old.
She played club soccer with KC Athletics where she was named the club player of the year and was a Best XI selection at the 2024 ECNL Championships. One of the nation’s top prospects, Brewer reclassified to the Class of 2025 to arrive at UCLA for the 2025 season and is believed to have been the youngest student-athlete in UCLA Athletics history.
Brewer has also spent significant time in the United States Youth National Team system at the Under-15, U-16 and U-17 levels. She helped the U.S. win the 2024 Concacaf U-15 Championship and played at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Ellie
Bravo-Young
Fairfax Station, Virginia , United States
Ellie Bravo-Young, a versatile defender, joined the Current in January 2024 and has made an immediate impact all over the pitch.
She marked her professional debut — which was also the first-ever match played at CPKC Stadium — with a goal, setting the stage for a strong rookie season. Bravo-Young continued her upward trajectory in 2025 by making 15 starts in her 21 regular season appearances and recording a goal and her first NWSL assist at Portland on Aug. 23. Her first career playoff goal was in the quarterfinals on Nov. 9 vs. Gotham in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time, marking the latest game-tying goal in regulation in NWSL Playoff history.
The former Penn State Nittany Lion has represented the U.S. at the U-18, U-19 and U-23 levels.
Elizabeth
Ball
Richmond, Virginia , United States
Elizabeth Ball is a cornerstone of the Kansas City Current organization and one of the club’s longest-tenured players, joining the team prior to its inaugural season in 2021. A steadfast defender, Ball has made over 100 appearances for Kansas City and ranks among the top in all-time matches played and games started for the club.
Ball has featured in every stage of the Current’s ascent — from the club’s 2022 NWSL Championship appearance to 2025 Shield breakthrough and everything in between. She capped her 100th career regular season appearance with a goal on Aug. 21, 2025.
Before her professional career, Ball was a standout at Penn State from 2014–17. She led the Nittany Lions to their first-ever national championship in 2015 without conceding a goal in the six-game tournament.
Alana
Cook
Far Hills, New Jersey , United States
A standout for club and country, Alana Cook joined the Current in 2024. After signing with the club, she started the last 10 regular season matches in addition to both NWSL playoff games in 2024, guiding the club to six clean sheets across those 12 contests. She started seven matches and helped the Current earn four shutouts in 2025 before an injury cut her season short.
Internationally, she debuted for the U.S. Women’s National Team in 2019 and has since earned over 30 caps, including appearances in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2022 CONCACAF W Championship. She scored her first international goal on April 11 – her birthday – in a 1–0 win over Ireland in 2023. Cook earned her first USWNT cap since 2023 in April 2025.
Cook began her professional career in France at Paris Saint-Germain and starred collegiately at Stanford from 2015-18. She helped the Cardinal claim the 2017 NCAA national championship and four straight Pac-12 titles.
Gabrielle
Robinson
Springfield, Virginia , United States
Gabrielle Robinson burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2023 after joining the Current from the collegiate ranks, setting club records for a first-year player with 20 appearances (19 starts) and 1,701 minutes played as well as leading all NWSL rookies in blocked shots (18), interceptions (23) and clearances (72). She featured in eight regular season matches and made six starts in 2025 as the club won the NWSL Shield.
The former West Virginia standout was also a key member of the United States U-17 and U-15 national teams. She helped the Stars and Stripes win the 2016 Concacaf U-15 Championship and was named to the tournament’s Best XI team.
Katie
Scott
Fairview, Pennsylvania , United States
Another U.S. Youth National Team regular, Katie Scott joined the Current from the collegiate ranks in January 2025. Her rookie campaign was highlighted by her NWSL debut and first start on Sept. 26, and she started both regular season matches she played in. She joined Kansas City after a stellar freshman season at Penn State where she scored two goals as the Nittany Lions advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Internationally, Scott has been a consistent presence on the United States Youth National Team at the U-15, U-17, U-18 and U-20 levels. She captained her squad to victory at the 2022 Concacaf U-15 Championship, led the U-17 to victory at the 2024 Concacaf U-17 Championships and appeared in all six games at the 2024 FIFA U-17 World Cup. She also helped the U.S. qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 World Cup after their top four finish at the Concacaf U-20 Championships.
Kolo
Suliafu
Ontario, California , United States
Kolo Suliafu joined the Current in 2025 after a heralded college career at Washington. In 2025, Suliafu was named the Big Ten Defender of the Year and was a United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team honoree, having also garnered All-Big Ten First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-North Region First Team praise.
She led the Huskies to the 2025 Big Ten Regular Season Championship before helping them win their first-ever Big Ten Tournament Championship. Washington then advanced to the Elite Eight for just the third time in program history, and Suliafu played all but two minutes during the team’s deep NCAA Tournament run.
Suliafu has also been called up by the U.S. Youth National Team at the U-17 and U-20 levels for various training camps and friendlies.

In the midst of her second season with the Current, Clare Gagne has provided vital depth for the club’s goalkeeping contingent. In her 2025 rookie season, that group set NWSL records for clean sheets (16), consecutive shutout minutes (869) and consecutive shutouts (9).
Gagne had a standout four-year college career at Brown (2020-23) where she led her team to three consecutive Ivy League titles. She used her final year of eligibility helping North Carolina win the 2024 NCAA national championship as the team’s starting netminder, earning the accolade of Most Outstanding Defensive Player.

The 45th overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft, Marisa Jordan joined the Current’s goalkeeping group in December 2025 via trade with the North Carolina Courage. Her professional debut came during the 2024 NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup, starring in multiple penalty shootout triumphs, and she made her NWSL regular season debut in 2025.
Jordan played collegiately at Purdue from 2018-21, notching a school-record 113 saves in 2021 and totaling 230 career saves across 5,480 minutes played. She closed her collegiate career ranking second in career save percentage (.807), career goals-against average (0.91), career shutouts (21), single season shutouts (9, 2019), fewest single season goals against (10, 2020) and wins in a season (15, 2021).
